Cal and Hannah

 Rules were meant to be broken.

Hockey is my life. How could it not be when I’m the youngest daughter of Ace Moreau, hockey legend turned coach?

It only makes sense since I live and breathe the game that I would want a player of my own. Given my access to the team, you’d think it would be easy to choose from the catalog of athletic hunks carving up the ice, right?

Wrong.

Daddy dearest has made it clear that under no circumstances are any of his players allowed to touch his daughters.

But I won’t be deterred. I only need one to break the rules with me.

Cal Berg, the Comets’ star defenseman, is bossy, arrogant, and thinks I’m just riding my dad’s coattails. Verbally sparring with him, provoking a reaction, is what I live for. We HATE each other.

Or so I thought . . .

One drunken slip has me rethinking everything.

Suddenly, my objective has changed. I don’t want just any player; I’m fully focused on bagging the blueliner. 

Benji and Liv

 I loved a boy once. I let him go to chase his dreams.

But he doesn’t know I kept a piece of him with me.

Benji Mills took the opportunity and ran as far as he could from our small town. Now he’s one of the star members of the Connecticut Comets hockey team. His speed and skill rule the ice, and his sharp-shooting skills have earned him a reputation as a sniper.

No matter how hard I try, I can’t forget about him.

His silver-gray eyes haunt my dreams every night, but when the morning comes, I still find myself staring directly into them.

I can’t escape the impression he’s left on my life.

I never thought I’d see him again, but he’s back. And he just found out I’ve been keeping the secret of a lifetime.

Sometimes the best surprises come in small packages.

Braxton and Dakota

 Ever heard of imposter syndrome?

Well, if you look it up in the dictionary, you’ll find my picture beside the definition.

I’ve been living in my older brother’s shadow since the day I was born.

Anyone would struggle to live up to the legacy of the great Jaxon Slate, hockey superstar and face of the league. But it’s worse for me. Everyone expects me to be Jaxon 2.0, and I’m nothing more than an off-brand imitation.

When I’m out and about, people see me and glance over my shoulder, hoping he’s with me.

Until her.

She couldn’t get away from me fast enough the day we met. The second she heard I was a professional athlete, she bolted for the door.

I can’t remember the last time someone wasn’t trying to get close to me because of my career, my athletic skills on the ice, or my famous brother.

Now if only she would give me the time of day.

I’m ready to be seen as more than just a second-rate superstar. 

It’s time to play the starring role in my own life.
