Hiding in plain sight behind my carefully crafted disguise, I insert myself into her new life. While pretending to be someone else, I am able to earn her trust and even get her to fall in love.

But the whole time, I’m laying the groundwork, taking the necessary steps so that I can breed her without her being any the wiser.

Matteo Bellini has a lot on his plate. Out of the blue, he is upgraded to Don of the Italian mafia in Chicago while his older brother goes off on a wild goose chase. On top of that, he’s been recently widowed by a hit gone wrong and is now a single father to two little girls.  To make matters worse, his formerly angelic four-year-old has been running all their nannies off. 

Summer Reynolds is buried under a mountain of student debt after graduating from college and still hasn’t landed a position that utilizes her degree. So when her best friend offers her the lucrative opportunity to fill in for her as the lifeguard at a child’s private birthday party, she accepts. But a near-drowning is about to change her life forever. The victim? The birthday girl, the Don’s pint-sized mafia princess.
